Music Brings Valley Residents Together at Calvary Lutheran Church
Music has a way of bringing people together. It can bring back a memory, start a conversation, lift a spirit or simply provide a moment to enjoy.
On June 23, Valley residents had the opportunity to experience that connection during a special Music Therapy event at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.
The event offered residents an opportunity to spend time together outside of their usual surroundings while enjoying the many benefits of music. Through familiar songs, shared experiences and time spent with others, the afternoon was filled with opportunities for connection and joy.
Music therapy is an important part of life at Valley. Our music therapists use music intentionally to support residents’ emotional, social, cognitive and physical well-being. Whether through singing, playing instruments, listening to music or participating in music-based activities, residents can engage in ways that are meaningful to them.
Events like the gathering at Calvary Lutheran Church are also a wonderful reminder that music is about more than the music itself. It creates opportunities to connect with others, engage with the community and make new memories.
We are grateful to Calvary Lutheran Church for welcoming Valley residents and helping create such a meaningful experience.
At Valley, we believe meaningful experiences and connections are an important part of everyday life. Music helps make those moments possible.
