President/CEO Update
Valley Senior Living opened in 1924 to care for 40 residents in our community. Today we have grown to provide care and services for over 530 people each day at our three locations in Grand Forks. During that time, our staff has grown to about 840 people today.
While the last few years have been incredibly challenging for long term care, we have been successful in improving our staffing throughout 2023. Increased wages combined with fewer pandemic restrictions have made our profession more desirable again. We are proud that we have averaged a four percent vacancy rate for our open nursing positions this year. Most remarkably, we are celebrating 20 years of not using a nursing staffing agency at Valley!
