Tuberculosis screening and testing will be completed per current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations. Employees must be considered free from communicable diseases by the Infection Preventionist, or designee, prior to beginning orientation to their position. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Infection Preventionist or designee.
New employees and all current Valley Senior Living employees are required to be vaccinated against seasonal influenza each year unless an exemption has been granted. All employees will receive the influenza vaccination at no cost to the employee.
New employees and all current Valley Senior Living employees will be educated and encouraged to receive vaccinations against COVID-19 at the recommended intervals set by regulatory bodies. The COVID-19 vaccine will be made available to all who are eligible at no cost to the employee.
This pre-employment testing screens applicants for illegal drug use and is often conducted within 24 hours after a conditional offer of employment has been made. Lawful consumable products have been removed from the drug screening panel.
All employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity against measles with appropriate documentation from your provider, proof of a measles vaccination series from an appropriate source, or submit to a titer/vaccination series for measles unless a declination has been signed.
New employees will be offered the Hepatitis B immunization series at no cost to the employee in compliance with OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
